Meet the Team
Lauren joined Star Strong Capital from Credit Suisse where she was an Associate in the Investment Banking Technology group. Prior to pursuing her MBA, Lauren worked in the Hedge Fund and Asset management industry, most recently as a VP in the Investor Relations and Business Development group at Kinneret Group. Lauren previously worked at AllianceBernstein, D.E. Shaw & Co., LP, and Paloma Partners Management in portfolio management and compliance roles and began her career in digital marketing at Havas Media Group.
Lauren serves on the Associate Board of the Bowery Mission, a New York based 501(c)3 focused on serving homeless and hungry New Yorkers and providing services that meet their immediate needs and help transform their lives. Lauren has an MBA from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a B.A. in Chinese, Spanish, and Psychology from Tufts University.
Chief Executive Officer
Spring Hollis is the CEO and founder of Star Strong Capital, an investment firm focused on debt opportunities for early state companies. Prior to founding Star Strong Capital, Spring was a portfolio manager at Park Cities Asset Management, a credit fund investing in small business and consumer finance debt opportunities. Spring previously worked as a managing director at Deutsche Bank in the Global Principal Finance and the Structured Transactions groups, focused on complex debt financings from the propriety trading desk.
Spring serves on the Board of Directors for the BOMA Project, an international non-profit focused on economic empowerment of women in sub-Saharan Africa. Ms. Hollis has a J.D. from New York University and a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin -Madison.
Deborah manages strategic partnerships and business development. She brings an extensive background as an executive in investment managing global operations data services, marketing, institutional relationship management and customer journey programs at HSBC, RBS (Natwest) and JP Morgan. Her experience also includes building operational infrastructure and product development at fintech startups.
Deborah offers mentorship for diverse startup founders, and currently serves as an adviser to Aegis Stance, a fintech platform disrupting the credit management industry.
Deborah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from New York University and an MBA from Fordham University.
